Ministry of Corporate Affairs has made it mandatory for all cost auditors of companies to file the Cost Audit Report and Compliance Report using XBRL taxonomy.

E-tax follow the below mentioned procedure for filing the report in XBRL format:

• Mapping cost elements of the company to the elements of the costing taxonomy
• Filling the relevant data in the software/filing tool
• Creating an XBRL instance document
• Attaching the instance document to the e-Form
• Downloading XBRL validation tool
• Validating the instance document
• Pre-scrutiny of the instance document
• Checking the correctness of data
• Filing form on MCA portal
