Section 8 Company works as a Non-Government Organization (NGO) or a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) with an aim to undertake and promote social welfare, religion, science, commerce, art, education, charity, sports, research, environmental protection or alike objectives. Such companies as licensed by Central Government can only use their income for promoting these non-profit objectives only. They are liable to comply with the norms of Companies Act 2013 and rules as laid by Central Government.
